Gulf of Maine Habitat Restoration Collaborative
Released in December 2010, the U.S. Gulf of Maine Habitat Restoration and Conservation Plan: A Needs Assessment for Maine, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts is the result of a multi-year effort involving numerous state and federal agencies and non-government organizations in the three Gulf of Maine states. It identifies priority actions needed to address the issues of impaired water quality, degraded fish and wildlife habitat, destructive invasive species, and the growing impacts of climate change. The Plan calls for an immediate short-term investment of $3 billion over the first five years to begin implementing solutions.
Waterview Consulting wrote, edited, and designed the Plan document in consultation with a steering committee of government and non-government partners.
